Facials & Hair: Silvia
A humble hair & spa studio in San Antonio…this is a hidden gem where you can get the best facial of your life + the cheapest (high-quality) hair cut & dye of your dreams. Silvia has been an aesthetician for over 20 years and seriously knows what she is doing. Her facials often last over 2 hours…and YES it includes steaming + extraction + multiple custom layers of treatments based on your unique skin condition. Silvia doesn’t speak any english but Google Translate your needs beforehand over WhatsApp and thank me later.

Laser & Aesthetic Treatments: Valeria
Valeria’s studio near La Comer is just off the beaten grid, but she’s got some of the best equipment in town for sure! Really high-quality & clearly new technology including laser, cool sculpting, micro-needling, etc. Not only is Valeria one of the sweetest women I’ve met - she is incredibly professional, takes her work seriously and is always on time, and the treatments are very fairly priced (often 10-20% lower than other clinics in the area). There’s no sacrificing quality though - you’re getting the best of the best here.

Pilates: Mae
A little taste of New York Pilates right in the heart of centro San Miguel! Mae is one of the best fitness instructor’s I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She truly lives the practice, and offers various classes at a gorgeous studio just next to Cafe Lula - conveniently titled “Lula Pilates”. I enjoy her drop-in mat pilates classes (a really good low-impact workout & stretch!) as well as her private + semi-private reformer classes (warning: you will feel the strength-building soreness for days!).

Nails: Nathalie
Okay, this nail studio is a little…rough & ready…but don’t let that fool you. Nathalie is the BEST nail artist I’ve ever experienced! She has basically EVERY colour, treatment, jewel, etc you can imagine. There is no nail dream this woman cannot execute…and she does it with ease - and at the very best of prices. You are in good hands with Nathalie! Again, no English, but you can message her on WhatsApp in English and translate her answers.

Okay, this one might be a little “niche”, but I am a huge fan of a yearly hydrotherapy cleanse! Linda is your one & only gal in San Miguel De Allende who has the top-notch equipment, decades of experience + expertise, and once again - at a fabulous price. I had the pleasure of experiencing Alejandra’s seemingly simple yet incredibly profound healing powers first-hand during a yoga retreat @ Sagrada Ranch, and her energy + vibe alone was magic! Another powerhouse woman in SMA I adore - this woman has the eye for style and is a gift to this town. She runs Bazar Mumu’s which pop up all over town and feature the best in local artisan goodies. They are truly an EVENT, and a fun way to spend the day consciously shopping & supporting local artists + creators. Giuliana’s bazar’s are a fine curation of art, crafts, music, food, and more!
