GDL healthy eats: Verde Bendito

I call this humble & basic healthy in the Mexico big city. If you’re looking for your standard smoothie & bowls, classic salads, and all the standard go-to Mexican faves your boyfriend loves (hello chilaquiles!) - this is your place.

The food is fresh and with a focus on simple cuisine with a few modified adjustments & special touches for vegans - or superfood freaks like me! It’s the perfect bright & cheery spot to grab breakfast or lunch with your health-obsessed friends post-pilates - or just for a casual date out with someone who wants their “usual”.

For breakfast, I adore the namaste bowl with added vegan protein + I always ask for extra of their to-die-for granola as well as homemade nut butter on the side…por que no?!

For lunch, their La Vegana salad is a delicious and hearty plant-based meal - but they’ve also got meat & good-old vegetarian options too. This is a plant-forward but not plant-exclusive dining establishment ;)

But it’s not just salads and smoothie bowls here - you’ve got comfort food classics such as sandwiches/toasts/paninis, and an exciting lineup of french toasts and pancakes specials.

With great wifi and an airy, happy environment, it’s the perfect place to sit on your laptop with a green juice or coffee, and then stay awhile until you great really hungry and decide to ditch the work for a break for grub!

A little gem in Chapalita on the prettiest street in the neighbourhood - Av de Las Rosas!
